How To: Blending Natural Hair with Hair Extensions

If wearing a straight style, try the roller set technique on your leave out. This entails using large magnetic rollers in order to stretch the hair, leaving it straight afterwards. Normally, you would use a setting lotion then dry the hair by using a high-heat hooded dryer. But for those who opt for the heat-free routines, put your leave out in the rollers with the setting lotion, wrap your hair in a silk scarf overnight and the next day when your hair is dried you will have perfectly blown out hair.

Wavy extensions can be blended with your natural hair as well using this method or the braid-out technique. With braid-outs, you can braid your leave-out along with the extensions when the hair is wet along with setting lotion. When your hair is dry you will be able to take down the braids and what will be left is even blended waves.

Curly extensions when natural is also an easy blend, just apply setting lotion to your leave out and use perm rods that are the same rod size as the thickness of your curly extensions on damp hair. After, take out the perm rods and loop your natural hair around the extensions, creating the look of seamlessly blended curls!
