So you've got the decorations done; the gifts are wrapped, the little ones are sleep and the cookies are laid out for Santa. What could be missing? How about a little Christmas cheer? Forget the eggnog this year and try one of these Holly Jolly Cocktails.
The Christmas Cookie :
Fill a shaker with ice. Pour in all of the ingredients. Then shake until chilled, make sure to strain the mixture into the glass of your choice.
1 ounce peppermint schnapps
1 ounce Kahlua
1 ounce Carolan’s Irish Cream

2 ounces Midori
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon simple syrup
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and pour in all the ingredients. Shake well until chilled, and strain into a chilled martini glass. Our garnish of choice ? a maraschino cherry.

Snuggling underneath a blanket isn't the only way too keep warm this Christmas ; sip on a glass of Hot Buttered Rum and let the jingle bell rock.
If want to put your mixology skills to the test the Hot Buttered Rum is the perfect cocktail.
Here's what you'll need :
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 c. vanilla ice cream, softened
2 tsp. cinnamon
In order to make the buttered rum batter you will need a mixing bowl, add butter and brown sugar and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy. Next, add in ice cream and cinnamon, while simultaneously beating the mixture. Then spoon into a large mason jar or tupperware container. Store in freezer until mostly hardened, about 2 hours (or until you’re ready to serve drinks).
After you are done making the batter; grab a large saucepan, heat the cider until boiling, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and pour into a pitcher or easy-to-serve container. Lastly place about 2 tbsp of the buttered rum batter into each mug. Fill about 1/3 of the way up with rum, then top with hot apple cider. Stir and serve.
