Loved for so many reasons such as; working on your tan as you run daily errands, keeping cool, or show proof that you weren't joking about 'leg day' at the gym, it's understandable why many the ladies love them.

Even with the many great reasons to show off your legs, there a ton more of why you should add some extra inches to the bottom of your shorts this summer! One reason is that the longer shorts are literally perfect for all body types.

Longer shorts don't have to be considered matronly, in fact, there's a certain air of sophistication, and chicness one has when wearing a pair of knee-length shorts.  It takes confidence to throw on longer shorts and not feel the need to show off all your goodies! This is where the old saying from your mother of "leave something to the imagination" comes into play!

While keeping some things left to the imagination, you'll find there's more versatility with longer shorts than you have with your daisy dukes. Start your day in a tank top and flip flops... then switch into heels, a chic top, and you're now ready for dinner on a rooftop.

Your daisy dukes can take you lots of places, but one place they will more than likely send you packing is your job! A lot of companies, especially those that are extremely casual, or fashion forward are now allowing shorts into the workplace. A nicely tailored short suit will be the talk of the water cooler (but in a good way for sure). This look can also be worn to a posh event such as an art exhibit, album release party, or a grand opening celebration!
