There's a typical runway show, then there's a Philipp Plein runway show. Plein, a German based designer, didn't hold back this past Saturday as he debuted his second New York Fashion Week show. With guests ranging from music moguls to A and D list celebrities, everyone in attendance was guaranteed a wild, entertaining show.
With Dita Von Teese as an opener and Teyana Taylor giving a jaw dropping closing walk, the show created much buzz, both good and bad. With performances by Nicki Minaj, Yo Gotti, Future and Rae Sremmurd the crowd was kept entertained the whole night.
Fashion wise? His theme of "Good Gone Bad" showcased intricate leather pieces, long, messy fishtail or haloed braids on the models, and plenty of black and white pieces to suffice the theme given. His models consisted of celebrities including 21 Savage, Cordell Broadus (Snoop Dogg's son), and Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd. Always known to throw over the top affairs and break the norms of NYFW, Philipp surely didn't disappoint.
