Take a different commute to work. Mixing up your routine in tiny ways creates new neural pathways in the brain to keep it healthy.

Start a compliments file. Documenting the great things people say about you to read later will help you on challenging days.  

Get out of your comfort zone! Even if it’s just complimenting a stranger or wearing a bold lip color.

Self-Care Ideas for the Soul

Go on a 'Beauty Scavenger Hunt' during your commute, find five unexpected beautiful things on your way to work.

Write out your thoughts. For 5-10 minutes, write your out anything bothering you. Then let it go as you rip up or crumb the paper.

 Exercise your strengths. Think about what you’re good at and find an opportunity for it today.

Self-Care Ideas for the Body

Have a good belly laugh, even if you aren't in the mood. Put on your favorite episode of 'Bob's Burgers,' 'Martin,' 'Friends,' etc. and laugh.

Dance! Dance! Put on your favorite upbeat song, turn the volume and shake your thang.

Take three deep breaths. Breathe into your abdomen, let the air puff out your stomach and chest then exhale. Close your eyes for a soothing feeling. 

With a little bit of attention to your self-care, you’ll feel more connected to yourself, your friends and the world around you. Search for the good, share your peace, and watch the positivity grow.
